15 things you didn’t know about PDBR Wright

  1. What is your favorite food to cook/eat? What is your favorite delicacy? I would say I like southern comfort food the best. A good hearty breakfast with biscuits, eggs, fried potatoes, fried apples, sausage and gravy is the best way to start the day. The same stuff my grandmother and mother would make when I was little.
  2. What was your first job in high school? When I was a freshman I worked at the old Holiday Inn in Cleveland as a dishwasher and belonged to the Hotel Workers Local 10 Union which is now Unite/HERE.
  3. How was your first car? A Starshy & Hutch Car. It was my Dad’s old Ford Torino, he gave it to me with a blow transmission and all I had to do is fix it…
  4. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Butter Pecan from Honey Hut.
  5. What do you do to relax? If I can find a poker game it helps me decompress and spend time with my friends and family.
  6. What is your favorite sport to play or watch? I enjoy baseball, and I played it when I was in school. I always enjoyed watching my daughter play fast-pitch softball in high school as well. Go Tribe!
  7. You could travel anywhere in the world, expenses not an issue, where would you go? I would like to get to Ireland, Scotland, Great Britain, Spain and Italy.
  8. What is your favorite holiday? The 4th of July and Halloween because of the celebration of our country, parades, picnics, fireworks and the costumes and candy for the kids – chili and an adult beverage for the adults.
  9. What is your favorite TV show? Currently is “Who Do You Think You Are?” I love to research family history. I also enjoy watching “Vikings” and “Criminal Minds.”
  10. What’s the most unusual item in your desk drawer? In honor of my Aunt Betty, I have her convention credentials as a delegate of her union. She was the first female President of her Local Union in New Jersey in the early 60’s.
  11. Share something funny or endearing about your pet. Otis is a trip – it’s fun to watch him watch animal shows on TV.
  12. What’s on your Bucket List? Find the time to travel – San Antonio, Nashville, Denver, Palm Springs and Savannah are on my list.
  13. What’s something that amazes you? My wife Tonia – she is a warrior! If you know me personally you know that she is…
  14. Where’s your favorite place to take an out-of-town guest? There are a couple of local family owned favorite restaurants.
  15. What’s one thing you’d rather pay someone to do than do yourself? Why? Brakes on a car – There is just something about having a professional union technician replacing my brakes. I want to be able to stop, lol.
